How do I transfer my web sites (files, databases, etc.) hosted elsewhere to Host The Name? What is the procedure ?

1. When you sign up for a new hosting account.

2. Host The Name will move ALL domains and sites over when an email request is received.

3. Log in with your email and password (you provide this at signup) then you can go here and place a transfer ticket:
Host The Name - Submit Ticket
Please include the following information:
-Your old cPanel URL (IP Address)
-Your old cPanel Username:
-Your old cPanel Password:

If you have multiple hosting accounts, let us know all their information so we can check and plan out the easiest way to transfer you over.

4.Do NOT change the nameservers right away at your registrar. You have to wait until we transfer your files before you do this.
The reason behind this is: Your nameservers are what tells the internet where your websites are hosted, so if you tell the internet "they are hosted at Host The Name" and the hosting account is still empty, well, it will show an empty hosting account.

5.The support staff can only start your transfer if you provide us the information from your old hosting account. Please note that the support team will let you know when this is done, and will give you a way of checking this transfer before you change the nameservers. This way you don't experience any downtime.
These things are very important to ensure your transfer goes as smooth as possible. We understand the change from one host to another can be a task, but we're here to help. As long as we can keep a constant stream of communication, and understand each other, things should go fine. We transfer people from other hosts every day, all day so we can definitely help you once we have all the correct information.
